The latest in the ongoing "Volunteering Matters conferences, sponsored by QAHN and held in venues all across Quebec, took place today (September 23, 2016) at the United Church in Knowlton. The morning session featured guest speaker David Carey, a professional trainer with the Achieve Centre for Leadership and Workplace Performance, who addressed the thorny topic of "Dealing with Difficult People: Leadership Skills for Stronger Boards."

The afternoon session of this well-attended event featured Juniper Belshaw of the Centre for Community Organizations, whose talk focused on "Active Leaders, Vital Communities: Keys to Recruiting Great Board Members."

The Volunteering Matters conference series is part of QAHN's ongoing project "Fostering Organizational Renewal through Enriching Volunteer Experience and Recognition" (FOREVER), which is funded by the Department of Canadian Heritage.
