larger_img_0931.jpgThe current exhibition at the Colby-Curtis Museum in Stanstead, "The County Fair: Agricultural Improvement and Popular Culture in Stanstead County," continues until October 31, 2015.

The show spotlights some of the farm implements and machinery that have been displayed at county fairs in the Eastern Townships over the past century and a half. Also featured are broadsides, livestock prize ribbons, and many other artefacts related to the region's county fairs.

Also on display, but on the museum's upper floor, is an exhibition titled "Mother, Father, Child Changing Family Relations from Victorian Times to the Present." This exhibition, which features everything from wedding dresses to an infant's coffin, runs until the end of September 2015.
