“To photograph truthfully and effectively is to see beneath the surfaces.” – Ansel Adams.

Mount Royal Cemetery Annual Photography Exhibition

Once again the Friends of the Mount Royal Cemetery calls upon Photographers to help mark the Month of the Mountain with us on May 25th and 26th as you interpret “IMPRESSION “.

One of the unique and interesting aspects of this particular exhibition is that it asks the photographer to share their passion and talents while capturing some aspect or element of the Mount Royal Cemetery to display with their other photos in representing the theme. Participants compete for cash prizes and opportunities for their work to appear in publications of the Friends of the Mount Royal Cemetery.

We look forward to these interpretations; whether it is a shot that captures one’s imagination, the effect or influence that something or someone has on one’s thoughts and feelings, or simply a shot that captures an impression that was made on the surface of an object. Whatever the case may be; in the final analysis, one’s photographs leave their own impressions and ultimately are open to interpretation by others.

Discover the hidden treasures that exist in this magnificent garden cemetery, and share your interpretations of “IMPRESSION” in the incomparable setting of the Mount Royal Funeral Complex located at 1297 Chemin de la Forêt on beautiful Mount Royal in Outremont.
