This family outing is sure to please everyone. Children will enjoy story-time and the craft workshop while parents and grand-parents discover the wonders of our rich railway history and heritage. Discover the under-belly of a diesel-electric and steam locomotive or travel in time to the heart of the Canadian Rockies with CPR’s No. 2816 steam locomotive as seen through the lens of internationally-renowned filmmaker Stephen Low.

A fabulous gift for yourself or to share with friends : Have tea in a unique train car – from December 3, 2011 to January 8, 2012.

A tradition for Exporail fans and a ‘must’ for adults and children over 13 to discover: experience a tearoom atmosphere where you travel back in time while you sip a cup of tea in the purest of British traditions, aboard the famous business car used by the President of the Grand Trunk Railway, Mr. Charles Hays, who later perished in the sinking of the Titanic. The « Canada Car » was donated to Exporail and it will be especially open as a Tearoom for the Holiday Season. Luxury and delicious anecdotes will be served along with tea and assorted baked goodies: scones, gingerbread cookies, sugar cookies, butter tarts, mincemeat tarts, shortbread cookies and a sublime fruit cake laced with brandy. Reserve early as seating is limited.

We also offer a great selection of fascinating gifts at the Museum Gift Shop. Find unique books and railway publications as well as original toys and games for children to make this Christmas unforgettable!
