Another item is this "smuggler's chair." Originally the property of Oliver Bracey (1866-1942) and his wife Sarah Oben of South Bolton, this rocker was made from a Boston Crackers barrel, produced in Waterloo, and was used to conceal contraband tobacco (purchased across the U.S. border in North Troy, Vermont) from visiting customs inspectors.
