Louise Abbott is a writer, documentary photographer, and documentary filmmaker based in Ogden in the Eastern Townships. She is the author of seven books, including The Heart of the Farm, Eeyou Istchee: Land of the Cree, and Memphremagog: An Illustrated History (volumes 1 and 2). She has directed numerous documentary films, including Portrait of a Round Barn; Driving into the Past: A History of Covered Bridges in Quebec; The Islands of Lake Memphremagog: A Natural and Human History; Nunaaluk: A Forgotten Story; and The Ahiarmiut: Out-of-the-Way Dwellers. She is available to present her films or PowerPoint presentations online or (post-pandemic) in public screenings.
