Most people driving into Montreal have no idea that the road exiting off the Victoria Bridge runs over the burial place for 6,000 Irish immigrants. Even most Montrealers are unaware of the significance of the large black stone sitting in the median at that same exit.

Pendant toute la période de colonisation, sous les Régimes français et britannique, tout projet de développement dépendait de la construction de moulins permettant de moudre le grain pour l’alimentation et de produire des planches pour l’habitation et les activités agricoles. Le 28 octobre dernier, c’est ce qu’ont présenté, à Bolton-Est, deux des plus grands spécialistes des moulins au Québec, les archéologues Hélène Buteau et Daniel Chevrier. Cette présentation était la dernière conférence organisée en 2012, l’église Holy Trinity, par l’association Patrimoine BOLTON Heritage.
On November 17,1907, construction started on Wakeham Hall , the building that was to become the focal point for the community of Wakeham for many years.
The Woods (Burt) Store was located at the corner of Route 243 and Cemetery Road in Melbourne, Quebec. 
In 1887 the Upper Melbourne Post office, with H. L. Burt as Postmaster, was one of sixteen Richmond subscribers of the Bell Telephone Company of Canada.
Located in the very heart of the city of Gaspé lies an ancient burial ground -- the O`Hara Cemetery. No one knows for certain how many souls were interred in this place. What is certain is that for many years the site was neglected, left to grow up in brush and weeds.
In Morin Heights on Sunday, July 31st, Bishop Barry Clarke of the Anglican Diocese of Montreal led the celebration of Trinity Church’s 150th anniversary. He also presided at the dedication of a new sandstone wall on one street side of the cemetery. This quite lengthy and substantial wall was built by funds donated by families and friends of Trinity, who raised over $20,000 for its construction. A large walnut plaque, to be mounted inside the church, was also presented with the names of those people to whom the wall is dedicated.
A tourist steam train runs between the city of Gatineau and the village of Wakefield for about eight months of the year, bringing visitors through the wooded hills and along the scenic Gatineau River.
