QAHN is very sad to announce the passing of a true Townships icon, Louise Hall.

Louise, a former educator and school principal, was a great friend to heritage, a long-time supporter of this organization, and (with her sister Adelaide) a co-winner of QAHN's 2014 Marion Phelps Award. Our sympathies to Adelaide and all her family and friends.

The "Fossmobile" tribute (incomplete).

--January 10, 2022.

There are many wonderful Canadian history lessons, but one that has often been overlooked is that of Canadian inventor and automobile maker, George Foote Foss, of Sherbrooke, Quebec.
