The Greenwood Centre for Living History is a community-based organization that seeks to preserve and capture the history of Greenwood, the Hudson area and the region. The organization manages the Greenwood historical house, offers guided tours of the house and garden, delivers workshops and community events, and maintains a permanent exhibit related to the house's former residents.

This exhibit intertwines biographical information about Greenwood's residents with regional historical events. Greenwood's story begins in 1701 with the birth of a baby boy and the signing of a peace treaty between New France and representatives from forty First Nations.
