The SHOMI database contains oral history collections from museums, historical societies, community organizations and research institutes across Quebec. Audio files in the database are annotated and search tools in the database allow users to easily locate audio files related to their interests.
This database uses the Centre for Oral History and Digital Storytelling's Stories Matter software. To access the database, please view the screen casts for detailed instructions about downloading and using the Stories Matters database. You will need to input the server URL and "Login as Guest."

Permanent displays relate to the lifestyle of the house’s former occupants, while temporary exhibits pertain to regional history.

The Eastern Townships Resource Centre promotes the study of the Eastern Townships with a special focus on the English-speaking communities in the region. The Centre publishes the Journal of the Eastern Townships Studies, coordinates conferences and speaker forums, preserves archival collections and organizes exhibitions.
Gatineau Valley Historical Society
The Gatineau Valley Historical Society promotes the history and heritage of the Gatineau Valley region. The Society publishes a yearly journal titled Up the Gatineau! and maintains an archive documenting the history of the Gatineau Valley.
Greenwood Centre for Living History
The Greenwood Centre for Living History is a community-based organization that seeks to preserve and capture the history of Greenwood, the Hudson area and the region. The organization manages the Greenwood historical house, offers guided tours of the house and gardens, delivers workshops and community events, and maintains a permanent exhibit related to the house's former residents.

Hemmingford Historical Archives
The Hemmingford Historical Archives organization is dedicated to preserving and sharing the historical heritage of Hemmingford, Quebec. Missisquoi Museum – Missisquoi Historical Society
The Missisquoi Museum, housed in an 1830 grist mill, features exhibitions and educational programmes which explore the individuals and events that contributed to the colourful history of Missisquoi County. The Museum is operated by the Missisquoi Historical Society which also manages the Hodge's General Store and the twelve-sided Walbridge barn.
