QAHN President Grant Myers and Executive Director Matthew Farfan (right and second from right, respectively), along with staff and board members from Townshippers' Association, welcomed federal National Revenue Minister Marie-Claude Bibeau, who is also the MP for Compton-Stanstead (which is home to the QAHN office) and Minister of Canadian Heritage Pascale St-Onge (MP, Brome-Missisquoi) to our offices today for a much-welcome announcement about core funding.
The occasion of the visit was the announcement of a modest two-year increase in core funding for both organizations. QAHN's Matthew Farfan emphasized during a press conference that the new funds would help to maintain QAHN's regular high-calibre programming, but also to offset inflation.
