Glenn Patterson is a PhD candidate in ethnomusicology at Memorial University in Newfoundland. Based in Montreal, he is interested in the relationship between grassroots musical culture and community vitality in Quebec's English-speaking communities. In 2019 and 2020 he developed and managed QAHN's "A Different Tune: Musical Heritage in English-Speaking Quebec" which researched and celebrated the diverse musical heritage of English-speaking communities across the province. He plays fiddle, accordion, guitar, and banjo. He performs a variety of regional fiddle and accordion music from North America and the British Isles and has recently been discovering the Middle Eastern maqam and Turkish art music.
