The Quebec Anglophone Heritage Network (QAHN) is hosting a special day-long training retreat this autumn with Mi’gmaq educator Derek Barnaby and we’d love to have your company.

Please plan to join us and share a meal as we reflect on the 10th anniversary of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s (TRC) calls to action.

Explore how local historical societies, museums and other cultural organizations in the Gaspé can do their part to engage respectfully and effectively with neighbouring Indigenous communities.

WHEN: November 15, 2025, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
WHERE: Optimist Chalet, New Carlisle
COST: Free of charge to QAHN members

A member of Listuguj Mi’gmaq First Nation, Mr. Barnaby has decades of experience helping to revive Indigenous culture and traditions and has served in various community leadership roles, including as band councilor and board member with the Mi’gmawei Mawiomi Business Corporation (MMBC).
