Did you know that three individuals with QAHN have been recognized for their work at one of this country's highest levels?
In October 2024, QAHN Board Member Dr. Dorothy Williams received recognition for her decades of work as an educator, historian, storyteller and advocate of Black history in Montreal, Quebec, and Canada. Dorothy was presented with her medal by the Honourable Marc Gold, P.C., Government Representative in the Senate.
In January 2025, QAHN Executive Director Matthew Farfan was recognized for his many years of heritage advocacy and community leadership. Matthew was presented with his medal by the Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau, P.C., M.P.

And last month, QAHN Board Member Fergus Keyes was recognized for his volunteer engagement with many Irish and non-Irish non-profits over the decades, including the Montréal Irish Monument Park Foundation. Fergus was presented with his medal by the Honourable Marc Miller, MP.
QAHN is proud to celebrate its members who are recipients of the King Charles III Coronation Medal for their service to Canada, which include their commitment to preserving Anglophone Quebec heritage.
