After serving as QAHN’s vice-president since 2017, Sherbrooke resident Jody Robinson was elected as the organization’s president (the first woman to occupy that position!) following its annual general meeting on Saturday, September 20.

Jody has always been interested in the history of the Eastern Townships. She has a Master’s in History from the Université de Sherbrooke and was for many years, the archivist for the Eastern Townships Resource Centre, an organization committed to the preservation of the heritage of the Eastern Townships.

Additionally, for nearly two decades, Jody has worked and consulted with a number of heritage organizations on a variety of projects. She is presently curator at the Uplands Heritage and Cultural Centre.

Other members of QAHN’s new executive include former president Grant Myers (Austin), who steps into the role of treasurer; Richard Smith (Montreal), who is the new vice-president; and Ann Montgomery (Ogden), who continues in her role as secretary. Continuing on the board as directors: Sandi Beebe (New Carlisle); Simon Jacobs (Quebec City); Fergus Keyes (Montreal); Sandra Stock (Montreal); Michèle Thibeau (Quebec City); and Dorothy Williams (Montreal).
