Heritage Talks 2025 presents: "Marion Phelps: Heritage Hero," with Jim Manson (with "Marion Phelps open mic")

, -

Marion Phelps' (1908-2013) contributions to local history and heritage preservation are legendary in Brome and Missisquoi Counties. After retiring from teaching in 1962, she volunteered for the Brome County Historical Society archives for more than four decades. From behind her desk, she worked tirelessly to preserve the history of Brome and Missisquoi Counties and helped countless researchers who entered through the archives' doors. Local history expert and former student of Miss Phelps, Jim Manson, will guide us through her contributions and share his memories of her. A reception and "Marion Phelps Open-Mic" will follow where attendees will be invited to share their favourite anecdotes of Miss Phelps.
