Upgrades now under way at Richmond County Museum, with help from QAHN and the SRQEA
--February 25, 2022. With funding through the Quebec Anglophone Heritage Network’s “Local Built Heritage Restoration Initiative,” which is itself supported by Quebec’s Secrétariat aux relations avec les Québécois d'expression anglaise, the Richmond County Historical Society (RCHS) has now begun some important upgrades to its museum facility in Melbourne.

--February 22, 2022. A new episode in QAHN's popular "Scandal Makers" series! In "The Survivor," Kathy Curtis of the Colby-Curtis Museum in Stanstead uncovers the mystery of Seba Beebe, the first American settler of Beebe Plain, and why his name was obscured from the public record for so long.
2014 Marion Phelps Award winner Louise Hall Passes Away
--February 15, 2022. QAHN is very sad to announce the passing of a true Townships icon, Louise Hall. Louise, a former educator and school principal, was a great friend to heritage, a long-time supporter of this organization, and (with her sister Adelaide) a co-winner of QAHN's 2014 Marion Phelps Award. 1st annual Online Scandal Makers Film Fest!
--January 24, 2022. QAHN’s “Scandal Makers” team has been visiting the cemeteries of the Eastern Townships in search of long-dead Townshippers, the notorious and the infamous, who lie in rest in the burial grounds of Stanstead and Compton counties. The first three documentaries in QAHN’s 2nd Scandal Makers series were just launched in an online Film Fest on Sunday, January 23. The "Fossmobile": help make it happen...
--January 10, 2022. There are many wonderful Canadian history lessons, but one that has often been overlooked is that of Canadian inventor and automobile maker, George Foote Foss, of Sherbrooke, Quebec. More than 124 years ago, a prosperous mechanic, blacksmith, and bicycle repairman named George Foote Foss built Canada’s first successful gasoline engine automobile, which was later referred to as the Fossmobile.
