It could be said that Phoebe Hyde "cut a distinguished figure" in the community of Como, in Hudson, during her 84-year lifetime. She spent summers at – and would eventually inherit – Greenwood, the oldest home in Vaudreuil-Soulanges. Since a teenager, she had wanted her house to become a museum.
